LAST SCHOOL HOLIDAY
Hi guys! My name is Aurellia Tanica and I'm from Tunas Bangsa Christian School. Now, I would like to tell you about my last school holiday. Hope you like reading it! :)
Yeah, as you know that school holiday is over, but don't worry guys because it's almost holiday again! Last school holiday which is from June 15th - July 21st 2013, I spent my holiday with many activities such as : painting, playing guitar, playing with sisters and cousins, making handy crafts, went on holiday to Jogja, and etc. The most I love is going on holiday to Jogja.
Jogja is known as the city of gudeg. We can found many people selling gudeg there because it's one of Jogja's characteristics. Not only selling gudeg, but also batik. In every single place in Jogja, we can found people selling batik from the cheap till the expensive. There are many interesting places that we can visit, such as : Keraton Jogja, Borobudur Temple, Prambanan Templa, and many others. For students' tour, Jogja is the perfect place because not only have beautiful scenery, but we also can learn more about histories that had happened in our country, which is Indonesia. We can count it as an additional knowledge. :D
On June 29th - July 1st 2013, my family, grandma Merry, grandma Suyarti, great grand mother Sulastri, and I went to Jogja. We went there by Air Asia's plane. Everything has packed nicely before the day. It just need one hour to go to Jogja. Our flight to Jogja landed smoothly. We arrived at Adisutjipto Airport at 1 o'clock. In there, we met our tour guide. He looks furious because of his dark skin and big body, but that doesn't make me afraid a little bit. HAHAHA. My dad made a chit chat with the tour guide first for maybe about one minute. After that, the driver carried on our baggages to the car and directly went to Suharti's restaurant to have our lunch. For me, the chicken is not really delicious because it's not warn. The situation there is packed, because many tourists had their lunch there. We also met those family who had a same flight with ours. We had our dinner maybe one and a half hours, then we continued our trip to Mutiara 2 Hotel. That's the place where we will stay.
When I first looked at the hotel, I said to my dad "Dad, will we stay here for whole of our trip?" "Yeah, of course! It's hard to find other hotel!", replied dad."Oh my! I don't like this hotel very much.", said I. "Oh come on Rell.. Don't grumble.. We only stay here for a rest, and it's not long..", replied dad again. So, I stopped grumbling and we waited him to go to the reservation place and asked them the card so that he could ask the hotel room service to carry our baggages.
Maybe after 10 minutes, we continued our trip to Borobudur Temple. Borobudur is Buddha's temple. That temple looks smaller than last year because it has been repaired by the workers. Not only visiting Borobudur Temple, we also visited other temple which are Prambanan Templa, Pawon Temple, amd Mendut Temple.
The places that we have visited in Jogja are Keraton Jogja, Borobudur, Prambanan, Mendut, Pawon, Parangtritis, Monjali (Monumen Jogja Kembali), Mount Krakatao, and other else. Not only visiting Jogja, we also went to Solo to visit Keraton Solo. It took 6 hours to go there, so my sisters and I just play together and finally we slept. At last, we arrived there, but so sad Keraton Solo has closed. So, we just took a carriage to move around Solo. In Solo, we ate Serabi Notosuman. It's really delicious! We also bought some batik from the store.
That's all that we had for our trip to Jogja-Solo. We had so much fun there! That's one of my memorable memories. Thank you for reading and sorry for some grammatical error! :D
